Mike Bara demands to be paid.

How much do "expenses" cost for a filthy liar. I'd love to know. Mike Bara (the filthy liar in question) is complaining that he has been waiting 6 weeks for his expenses from some woo-conference or other. As hard as it is to imagine that people would actually pay to listen to Mike Bara make things up I guess he has cats to feed and rent to pay.

I honestly wonder how these third rate authors and woo-conference regulars actually make a living. As I understand it David Wilcock and Steven Greer are out in front in the financial stakes by quite some margin.

I know people "donate" via pay pal to the likes of Kerry Cassidy, and apparently at one time Hoagland was accepting donations via pay pal for entry to his enterprise forum. Hoagland has also used his facebook page to beg for money to fund research trips which never happened. Hoagland of course trousered the cash and never refunded a cent to the absolute fucking idiots people who donated.

Mike Bara demands his expenses.

One may think that there is only so much cash to go around. So there must be competition for that cash. Hoagland would breathlessly tell us that disclosure was imminent and that he was about to save the world. If of course his utter made up shite "model" was correct. Mike Bara to his credit actually produces tangible work in the form of books. Albeit terrible books devoid of facts. As far as I know Bara has not resorted to begging for donations yet.

Nevertheless isn't it odd that all these amoral arseholes who claim to be "in the know" or in possession of "the truth" want to sell it ? - Just tell your story if you have one then go get a fucking proper job you bunch of lazy woo-meister bastards.

  1. One of the interesting things about the whole Mars Reveler thing was the email dump Gary made. That stuff showed a Hoagland who was quite concerned with the financial side of the so-called truth-telling business. Not that we didn't already know that about the guy, but it was interesting to see it in black and white.

Bara, as always, is much more open about what it is all about. He's in it for money (what little of it there is), the fame (he's world famous in several strip clubs and bars), and the women (of moderately priced virtue). He's not into world saving, and he doesn't care if you know it. He's just a professional bull shit artist, minus the artist part.

The difference between them can be seen in their fans. Hoagland had quite the cult going for a while, with true believers who wanted to be part of the world altering events that he said were coming. Bara has more of a gang, where a group of people hang around together so that they can pretend to be cool. They live vicariously through Bara's so-called exploits, but they aren't really into the bull shit in the way that Hoagland fans are. I doubt that any of them would be willing to part with beer money to help him pay for his research (bar tab), and I'm sure Bara knows enough not to ask.

  2. Quite likely the gig in question is the one where he went to Santa Fe to tell a bunch of lies for Robert Kiviat. They ended up in the drivel-athon called "Aliens on the Moon -- the truth exposed."

    1. Any idea on the size of the audience for such things? I always figured the woo-biz was a small one on the conference side of things, with a few true believers going from conference to conference, like the early Star Trek conventions of the 1970's. I know that the videos of Hoagland's various gigs don't have many shots of the audience, and he'd have to be considered (back in the day) one of the bigger draws.

    2. This youchoob epic has quite a few audience shots. It isn't a packed crowd, considering what stars of the world of bullshit are on the panel.

    3. Not a packed house is an understatement. I've seen school board meetings with a bigger crowd. And as you said, this is with the stars of the woo-world.

The venue itself looks like the event room of your local Holiday Inn, only with less charm. I guess after paying guys like Hoagland and Bara, the people running the thing didn't have much money left over for luxuries like a real auditorium or a professional camera crew. I imagine the only way to make money with these things is to take as much money up front as you can, then stay a step or two ahead of the creditors. Which explains why Mike "I've been on Ancient Aliens you fag!" Bara hasn't gotten his expense money yet.

  3. This is just bara playing out his internal ongoing fantasy of being Really Important. He'd like to think of himself as a player, someone who made a difference and who is being rudely treated. "How dare they!" he silently exclaims, hoping that his limited fans will agree and validate his fantasy.

"Is this for CITD?" one asks? "Goodness no, that was very professional" he jokes. Haha! How funny, and how noble, putting yourself forward for these less professional oiks. And this is how they treat you eh.

And yes, you're right. These things do take a while in "the business". It's not like other businesses. Everyone knows this is a special business. Things like payments have to follow a complex chain of command. It's like a secret organisation you see, "the business".

It's all very special and important you see. Just like you, mike. Just like you. You're definitely not a worthless person. I hope you feel validated and important. You should work on this lack of self confidence, it's almost as if you don't believe in yourself.

  4. If I ever do get to debate Mike and he pulls the, "But NASA paid for your education and they pay your salary," I'll have to pull this screenshot back up and read it to him. I never understood the whole money angle on their side against our side. Works both ways, bub. One of the reasons why I refuse to accept money for my podcast.

    1. The big difference here is that your podcasts are something you do in your free time. You are actually being paid to do scientific research. In other words, you have what is commonly referred to as a real job.

Bara and Hoagie have no such alternate vocation. They are woo merchants by trade, it's all they know. So their motivation to stretch the truth (aka lie), and ignore evidence, logic, and the known laws of the Universe are far greater than yours. If you quit doing podcasts tomorrow, you'd still be a planetary scientist. If they quit, they'd be greeters at Wallmart.

    2. He's accepted the debate gauntlet twice. Any news from either ?

    3. That's a real pity. A Robbins vs Bara debate would get certainly light up youtube.
