Anyone remember the Elenin fiasco?
Of course you do. Where Hoagland made the claim that Comet Elenin was a spacecraft sent by the Shem Su Hor (followers of Horus from ancient Egyptian mythology) who apparently are still alive and well today. In fact according to Hoagland Barack Obama is a member. The painful, almost four hour long video of Hoagland claiming such shite is still available on YouTube.
Many people (including myself) were all over Hoagland like a bad suit destroying his mathematics. I and others noted for example a division by zero possibility in his made up equation. This destroyed his entire "model."
Apparently he still believes he was right. Everyone else is wrong. Richard Dolan is challenged live on air to debate. Dr Stuart Robbins blogged an absolute nuke regarding Elenin.
In the below audio clip we hear the challenge being issued.
You bet I remember. There was the division by zero error, then there was this: "Elenin arrived on the tenth anniversary of a world-shattering event. What are the chances? One in ten."
ReplyDeleteYeah Richard, therefore the chances of arriving on the first anniversary must be 1 in 1, right? You dunderhead.
Expat,
ReplyDeleteHe actually tried to defend the Elenin prophecy.
Bloody Hell !!!!! He's still spouting relentless launches.
Loving the Gablings ringing the phone for shits n' giggles.
Braaaps from belgab.
LOL !!!!!
I do have to say that given Dolan's role in appearing on stage at the great Roswell slide unveiling, it is interesting that he referred to the Elenin fiasco as being the work of snake oil salesman. Apparently, even he has his limits.
